Way back in 1938, Manila was the Jewel of Asia. Since the Phillippines starting to have a SELF-interest President, the country goes down.

From generation to generation, the politicians only serve one person - themselves.

I hope one day, they will realize that the money they stole from the people, they could not bring it to heaven with them. Once we get there, we will be judge equally

The only way to change its way, it a complete revolution, rewrite the constitution. I would suggest that all politicians should post their Yearly income, their assets to the Philippines's public.

They should also post the yearly budget and expense on the division or department they handling

By doing this, believe with 50 years, the Phillippines will be as rich as SOUTH Korea

I have this really, really old autobiography of Ramon Magsaysay. And for me, he's like, the most competent president I've ever heard about.

I agree with you, and indeed a shame! Politicians in the Philippines are in the office for their own self gratification of money and power not to serve the impoverished people of the Philippines who really deserve a real change of leaders. It has been so long that the masses has suffered from a corrupt government. President Arroyo started with a promising agenda, only to be crippled by a tainted Presidency and instead of delivering on a blueprint for progress has drowned itself in fighting for its legitimacy.
What can you say about a country that proud itself and it's biggest economic windfall is the exodus of Filipinos from the Philippines to be slaves to the world, subjected to sub-par living conditions, abuse and endangering their lives even in wartorn countries for the simple reason- there are no jobs in the Philippines. Whilst the politicians consumed their time in trying to gain power and the other protecting their seats.
Until corruption and greed cease and true dedicated leaders that cares for the people will be in the government, only then the Philippines will move forward- I DOUBT IT!
On another note, aren't you too young, 16, to know Ramon Magsaysay? :)

God, I swear I wanted to strangle her when she told me how much calories a slice of pizza has. Just wanna wring hr neck and go, "are you friggin' kidding me??!!"
Counting calories takes the joy out of eating. Heartbreaking.

Ha! Yes, that's the problem. Eat vegetables, fruits, a daily dose of carbohydrates, (rice) excercise.
That's what I do, and I go to the gym.
If she's counting the calories in everything she eats, and not do the things I stated above, nothing will happen to her. I'm still fit because I do those things everyday. (except when I drank two bottles of beer and wine allllll in one go, pardon me, ma'am.)
Just tell her counting calories won't do anything. Every person in the world is special and beautiful, in a different way.

Yes,I'm a filipina. In general, Filipina Pageant contestants aren't dumb. In fact most of them answered brilliantly. That specific I-don't-wanna- eat-tomorrow contestant, fortunately, wasn't chosen as Ms. Philippines.

I think Simon's problem is that he doesnt understand how to handle people. he is obviously good at his job otherwise he wouldnt be where he is now but he should bear in mind he is dealing with people who have feelings and deserve respect, if even for their stupidity.
But there again, a badddie always draws a crowd - maybe it is all an act!! Surely nobody can be that insensitive to peoples feelings?

What you have posted is very common problem in my country Nepal but I am not saying your uncle is doing right. In Nepal, such problem creates when siblings wish to live seperately dividing their properties after their marriage. I sometime feel boring as you do. Your uncle is damn loser.

Oi...it really seems like your uncle is a bloody loser. But come on! Don't waste your time getting angry for his cause. You know your mom and the rest of your family is value so do not fall on his game.
